Richard L. Wottrich, CEO and Founder of DSI in 1992, has built a substantial Global Network of investment banking firms, consulting firms and university and technology centers over the past 25 years. Mr. Wottrich has 30 years of financial services industry experience, advising on transactions ranging from start-ups and private placements to middle market acquisitions. He has advised on transactions in 17 countries, including Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain and the UK.

Mr. Wottrich’s transaction expertise encompasses aerospace, agriculture, alternative energy, automotive, business services, defense, engineering, food and beverage, hospitality, information technology, logistics, manufacturing, Native American backed-transactions, packaging, marine security, ship building, and software security. He is experienced in commercializing emerging, disruptive and replacement technologies, intellectual property and patent valuations.

Mr. Wottrich is a former Chairman of the Board and President of the International Network of M&A Partners (IMAP). He served on the IMAP Membership Committee for ten years. He Co-Coordinated IMAP’s Alternative Energy Group and served as a Moderator at the IMAP Energy Symposium in Paris, October 2010. Mr. Wottrich was awarded the first ever IMAP Dan Denby Award in 2006 in London, voted on by the investment bankers of IMAP for best representing the mission and purpose of IMAP internationally.

Mr. Wottrich delivered the keynote speech at the “Summit of CEOs and Career Managers of Chinese and Foreign Enterprises” in Beijing in 2005. More than 400 Chinese business leaders attended this first-ever government-sanctioned summit. Mr. Wottrich has also provided International Desk Services to the McLean Group in Washington DC, and Dresner Partners in Chicago.

Mr. Wottrich serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Compensation Committee of Connor Manufacturing Services (US, China, Singapore, Malaysia). Mr. Wottrich writes and publishes a business blog, DSI Global View, covering international business conditions, which is published on DSI and LinkedIn. Mr. Wottrich is an Exclusive Article Contributor for Seeking Alpha, a crowd-sourced equity research platform based in Israel. He is a member of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta USA. He also serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of Loving Arms Cancer Outreach in Atlanta.

Mr. Wottrich lives with his wife Sharon in Atlanta and has two children and five grandchildren in Pittsburgh and Atlanta. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College in 1970 and holds a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) degree in Risk Management from The American College.
