InterChina Partners, one of leading investment banking advisory firms based in China, is pleased to announce that it advises Genus Plc (“Genus”, LSE: GNS), on its strategic porcine collaboration in China with Beijing Capital Agribusiness Co. Ltd (“BCA”). Under the definitive transaction agreements, BCA will acquire 51% of PIC China (”PICC”) through a share purchase (USD 160 million) and additional subscription for new shares. This transaction cements Genus’s and BCA’s commitment to strengthening PIC China’s local business and achieving PRP1 commercialization in China. This would allow Chinese pig producers to benefit from this leading technology to improve their productivity. The transaction is completed on 31 January 2026.
